Rustblood
Team Prototype
Rustblood is a first person shooter in which the player can take safety in a mech and use it for combat, but would need to sacrifice resources found without the mech to aid him on his journey.

What I Worked On:
First Person Mode Functionality
Pistol Functionality
Game UI
Design Work on Player Interactions

This 4 week prototype was created by Pizza Declined.
I was a designer and programmer on the team, focusing on the interactions outside of the mech, making the player feel defenseless and vulnerable would resources.

I tackled the challenge of making the player still have a fighting chance against enemies while also working on the main movement and health mechanics, as well as potential upgrades they can find to aid themselves on their journey.

The whole team focused on trying to make the balance of being in the mech and outside of the mech feel fleshed out.
Our resources consisted of scrap, used for repairing the mech and crafting bullets the player could use for their pistol; and ichor, used as fuel for the mech. We made sure that there was balance between getting these resources from both in world areas/landmarks as well as different types of enemies ranging from small creatures to huge monsters.

This project was made in Unity and in C#.
