Freelooters is a space pirate first person shooter where the player dual wields a select choice of weapons that enhance their movement in order to kill enemies and collect loot as fast as possible.

This 4 week prototype was created by Pizza Declined.

I was a designer and programmer on the team, mainly focusing on designing weapons for the game, making sure that each weapon that was implemented had a fun and unique combat option whilst also having a unique and fun movement option.

We wanted to make sure that every weapon combo felt different that every player (including the designers) had a combo they felt fit their style of play.

After coming up with weapon ideas, I would implement them into the game, ranging from both the hitboxes, the animations, to the physics they would cause to the player and enemies.
On top of creating the weapons, I big part of the design process was actually fixing issues and testing the guns themselves, since they were a huge part of the gameplay.

One of the best parts of making this project was collaborating with the entire team on design choices that would further the games development, coming up with the wacky-ist ideas and turning them into actual viable weapons that playtesters loved.

This project was made in Unity, C#, and has full controller support.
