CARDIFICER'S FOUNDRY
Team Project

Cardificer's Foundry is a rouge-like RPG with a grid-based movement and deck building combat system, in which the player's deck is built around the party's proficiencies. Traverse various acts defeating many enemies, collecting loot, and recruiting new party members to fight on the battlefield.

This project was made by a four man team, with myself focusing on the level design and the UI/UX design.
Cardificer's Foundry was a semester long project that helped the team understand what it meant and took to work together to create an experience for others to enjoy.
Myself and William Bennington created the layouts and design of the levels in the grid based map. I was able to transfer our ideas to code and have the game randomize the maps generated depending on what act the player was on. These various maps contained different loot, traps, and enemies that the player can interact with.
Our team wanted to create an experience that merges RPG elements with deck building revolved around the player's party proficiencies.
Players play different cards that have different properties involving speed, type, and aliments.
With up to 8 different card types, the game has over 80 cards with unique buffs and debuffs around them.
